Overview: 
Gaillard Builders is hiring a sharp, detail-oriented Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for pricing and bidding on a variety of commercial and residential projects, working closely with our project management team to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely estimates. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment 
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents 
  • Solicit subcontractor pricing and evaluate proposals 
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop accurate bid strategies 
  • Participate in value engineering and cost-saving solutions 
  • Meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy 
  • Maintain and update unit pricing and vendor/supplier relationships 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of estimating experience (commercial or residential) 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly under pressure 
  • Familiarity with estimating software ( Bluebeam, ProEst, Timberline or similar) 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents 
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
